Dr. Susete Pires is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon based in Porto, Portugal. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, where she achieved an outstanding academic record and received numerous awards for academic excellence. She completed her specialist training in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Hospital de Santa Maria in Lisbon. Throughout her training, she developed broad experience in reconstructive surgery, hand surgery, breast reconstruction, cranio-maxillofacial surgery and burn care, further complemented by international training.

She is currently a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Hospital da Prelada in Porto and has a strong commitment to teaching and academic development. Her scientific activity includes publications, oral presentations and posters at national and international meetings, as well as participation as a speaker and moderator at scientific congresses. She is a member of the Portuguese Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, the Portuguese Society for Surgery of the Hand and the Portuguese Burns Society. Her professional interests include reconstructive and breast surgery, hand surgery, burn reconstruction and aesthetic and facial plastic surgery, with a particular focus on education, surgical excellence and the sharing of knowledge within the specialty.
