Dr. Katrien Lagey is a graduate of the Free University of Brussels in 1993. After that she had her training as a Plastic Surgeon at the University Hospital of Brussels and the Burn Center in Neder over Heembeek. She graduated as a Plastic Surgeon in 1999. Meanwhile she also completed a manama in microsurgery at the Saint Luc University in Brussels. She obtained the European Recognition Diploma (Ebopras). After graduating as a Plastic Surgeon, she was the surgical coordinator of the Diabetic Foot Clinic at the University Hospital of Brussels. After a few years she started working in a general hospital in Willebroek while working at the Burn Center in Neder over Heembeek as a consultant.
After gaining more experience in several private clinics both in the Netherlands and in Belgium she now divides her time between het private practice and the general hospitals of AZR in Bornem and Willebroek. Het specialisations are the ageing face, facial flaps and aesthetic breast surgery.
In addition, she graduated in Insurance Medicine and Medical-legal Expertise in 2020.
