Mr. Kieran Power is a distinguished Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgeon, based in London, who is renowned for his expertise in breast reconstruction, microsurgical reconstruction, gynae-oncology reconstruction and the treatment of skin cancer, particularly melanoma.
With over 15 years of experience, Mr. Power holds consultant positions at some of London’s leading hospitals, including The Royal Marsden Hospital, where he is currently head of the department, as well as King Edward VII’s Hospital, The Lister Hospital and The Cromwell Hospital.

He undertook specialist training in Plastic Surgery in Ireland, before moving to the UK to pursue advanced surgical fellowships.
In 2012, Mr. Power completed a fellowship in microvascular cancer reconstruction at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London, followed by a prestigious scholarship from the Royal College of Surgeons.
This scholarship took him to Australia, where he completed a Fellowship in Melanoma and Surgical Oncology at the world-renowned Melanoma Institute in Sydney. He was awarded a Masters of Aesthetic Surgery with distinction from Queen Mary University of London.

Mr. Power is dedicated to advancing the field of reconstructive surgery through research and clinical trials. His research interests include, robotic microsurgery, where he is exploring the potential applications and patient benefits of a new robotic system for microsurgical reconstruction.
He is also involved in several key clinical trials, such as:

• MelMarT-II Trial: This important trial compares 1 cm versus 2 cm wide excisions for the treatment of primary melanoma.
• GRASS Trial: A feasibility study focused on using fat tissue grafting to treat symptoms of vaginal stenosis in women with gynaecological cancers.
• Mr. Power’s work in wound healing has been recognized with the prestigious John Calder Medal from the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgeons.

His research has been published in leading medical journals and presented at conferences worldwide, further solidifying his reputation as an innovator in plastic surgery.
