Maruccia Michele is Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Bari Aldo Moro and Chief of the School of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He serves as a plastic surgeon in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University Hospital of Bari, where he is also Head of the Microsurgery and Breast Surgery Unit.Professor Maruccia completed a fellowship in Advanced Reconstructive Microsurgery at China Medical University Hospital in Taichung, Taiwan. His clinical and academic interests focus on reconstructive microsurgery, breast surgery, and plastic and reconstructive surgery.He is the author of more than 170 scientific publications in peer-reviewed indexed journals and book chapters. In addition, he has edited three books, reflecting his extensive contributions to the advancement of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
