Susana Pinheiro, graduate in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra (1998-2004), practices at ULS-Coimbra as a Senior Assistant in Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. She completed her postgraduate training at the University Hospitals of Coimbra (2005-2013), complemented by internships in national and international centers, focused on the area of ​​Microsurgery.
Currently, she works as Coordinator of the Burn Unit in Coimbra and is responsible for plastic surgery at the Coimbra Pediatric Hospital. She also dedicates herself to other areas such as reconstructive surgery of upper and lower limbs, breast reconstruction, hand surgery, and body contouring surgery.
She was a Guest Assistant in the Anatomy I and II curricular units of the Integrated Master’s Degree in Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra between 2009 and 2025 and frequently collaborates in the training and teaching of students and specialty interns.
